Enhancing the Photovoltaic Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells by Doping 2-mercaptoimidazole in the Active Layer

Abstract Organic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is concerned due to their photoelectric performance, low price, and solution treatable. However, there are defects in crystals that affect the power conversion efficiency (PCE) improvement. These effects include carrier transport, morphology of film surface, etc. Passivation a reliable reduce crystals. We doped 2-mercaptoimidazole (2-MI) active layer obtain efficient cells, PCE organic PSCs with 2-MI reaches 18.26%, which effectively improved compared original device (17.58%). This work provides new strategy for PSCs.
